David's life is so big that it cannot be diminished into a single movie. Sometimes I fear that 3 movies won't do the story justice. This page will be constantly updated with thoughts about the movie project, tid-bits on the central characters that people may not have realised through the usual, cursory readings. As with other pages on this blog, it will usually be updated as thoughts are placed on the blog proper.
As to the structure of the trilogy, here is the basic overlay as it currently stands (with current working titles).

- Act I - Samuel narrates the story of Saul's rise to power and early faithfulness to Nathan as they both embark upon a journey...
- Act II - Samuel's continues, recounting the downfall of King Saul's favour with God and God's command that another be anointed. Samuel and Nathan arrive at the house of Jesse. David is anointed to succeed Saul.
- Act III - David is engaged in service to Saul as a musician. His home life is seen as he returns from court ministry. The Philistines wage war with Israel and Goliath is introduced. David faces Goliath.

Random Facts
- According to the Talmud, David's Great-Grandfather, Boaz, was one-and-the-same person as Ibzan in the book of Judges.
- Contrary to popular portrayal, David came from a wealthy family in Judah, descended from princes of that tribe. David tended Jesse's sheep, which only the rich owned.
- Uriah was among David's most valued fighters and would have been well-known to David, probably even friends. Uriah was also Joab's shield-bearer.
- Joab was David's nephew.
